Teotihuacan and Mexican Lunch

The first two pictures are are at Teotihuacan with school children that were there and of paintings inside of one of the ruins. After we left the ruins we went to lunch at a nearby restaurant. We couldn't drink the water anywhere in Mexico, Guatemala, or Belize so we drank a ton of soda pop on the trip! The pictures of us at the restaurant show us enjoying our sodas. The last picture is of the restaurant bathroom. The restrooms are pretty scary wherever you go, because you cannot throw your toilet paper in the toilet. The toilet system can't handle the toilet paper so you just have to put it in the garbage next to the toilet...leaving a lovely smell behind for all future users to enjoy! Also most toilets do not have toilet seats so you get a nice workout while you are squatting to do your job. I love multi-tasking, bring it on!

The Ruins at Teotihuacan

Teotihuacan was the first set of ruins that we went to on our month long journey through Southern Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize. The pyramids that the people that once lived there are incredible and they are so massive. These pictures don't tell the whole story, but give a good idea of the beginning of a wonderful experience!

Mexico City

The MesoAmerica trip began in Mexico City. The first day we went to the ruins at Teotihuacan. The first two pictures are of me and my new amazing friend Clarissa. We pretty much spent everyday together. The picture of me with the food is the first dinner that I ate, but many of the dinners that followed looked just like that. We ate a lot of tacos! The trip was amazing!!!

Good-bye BBQ

My sister was so cute to throw me a going away BBQ after I graduated from BYU-Idaho. I am going to miss my friends there, but most especially my little sister Lindsey and my best Friend Jacquelyn. We always have a blast together and it's going to rough without them.
