5K Run for Diabetes

Today Chad and I ran in a 5K race for diabetes. It was pretty cold and windy during the race and the course was a little hilley, but we survived. Chad better than survived... he got a medal for 3rd place in his age group. I was pretty frustrated with myself after the race because I didn't improve my time from the 5K we ran last week, but I'm going to train harder so I can improve my time next time :) I think I'm getting shin splints in my right leg so today I didn't run as hard as I normally do. Ive' had shin splints before and they kill! Running is fun!

Lego Competition at the Airport!!!

We got to the Airport around 3:00 cause each of us (Tracy, Lindsey, me and Jacquelyn) flew out at different times so we had a lot of time to burn. I started a little Lego competition
in the play zone near the security gate. We each had 3 minutes to build somekind of masterpiece and then the judges determined which creation was the best. They were all so unique and amazing we couldn't choose a winner! Everyone was a winner that day :)

Snowboarding on Mt. Hood

Snowboarding/Skiing in Oregon was definitely a memorable experience... we know how to have a good time and we know how to carve down the mountain with style! I love my family :) It was Isaiah and Mandy's first time snowboarding and they were both troopers. Isaiah will probably stick with snowboarding, but I think Mandy wants to try skiing next time.

Snowboarding w/the fam on Mt. Hood

When I went home for a weekend at the end of March we (Tracy, Dad, Lindsey, Allie, Lucas, Isaiah, Preston, Scott, and Mandy) had an opportunity to go snowboarding together. That was a dream come true in and of itself! I love my family and I love snowboarding so put the two together and there is there is a lot of love going on there. We had a blast, but it got pretty cold towards the end of the day because it had been raining all day and the water was beginning to penetrate through our water-proof layers. So much fun!
