Family Photo?

I found this stick figure representation of my family in my room the other day and I thought some of you would get a kick out of how fabulous you each look ;) A few weeks back our Relief Society lesson was about family and the eternal nature of families. Our teacher asked us each to draw a picture of our families and to write a word to describe each family member.

As you can see I decided to go with stick figures, for obvious reasons...sorry that some of you (males) do not have any clothing on, whoops! :) The drawing is in this order: Dad, Mom, Tracy, Kristy, Covina, Lindsey, Allie, Lucas, Isaiah, Conner, Madison, Belen, Aurianna, and Lincoln. Lincoln is the small animal-looking figure on all-fours at the bottom of the 3x5 note card drawing, and if the answer is yes if you are wondering he has two eyes, even though he looks kind of like a cyclops if you look too closely.

The words describing each person are as follows:
Dad-organized, patient; Mom-selfless, kind; Tracy-amazing dad, strong faith; Kristy: charitable (enduring and sincere love); Lindsey-persistent, trusting, enduring faith; Allie-patient, pure strong faith; Lucas-pure love, sensitive to others (caring); Isaiah-thoughtful; Conner-gentle, caring; Madison, Belen, Aurianna, Lincoln-loving (Christlike love). I love my family and I thought I should share with each of you how important you are in my life. Also wanted to give you a good laugh... because that's what Marchants do, we laugh all the time. Love you all! :)

Jason Aldean Concert

Heather and I had a date (with each other) to the Jason Aldean concert Friday night... for those of you who have been living under a rock and don't know who Jason Aldean is, he is a country singer and he's amazing! We kept seeing people with HUGE ice cream cones and so we indulged in some delicious ice cream just as Jason was starting the show. Jason finished playing and left the stage but the crowd cheered so loud that he came back and played a few more songs. I was so happy he came back out because he hadn't played one of my favorites that he sings "Big Green Tractor" and that was the first song he played when he returned to the stage. Oh how I love country music. I go country dancing at least once a month, but I don't usually dress in country attire for the occasion so tonight I dressed in what little country get-up I own and sported it to the concert. As you can see from my picture I wore tan boots, a jean jacket, a white button-up, and a brown belt. The only things missing were my cowgirl hat and a cowboy... :) Heather and I had a blast. This is our third country concert in the last year (Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, and now Jason Aldean). We love country music!

Sister Time

My beautiful little sister surprised me and came to visit for the weekend. I was so happy when I saw her come out from behind a corner when I met up with Kristina at the airport. Saturday we decided to go for an afternoon run.... in the snow! As you can see from the pictures the snow wasn't coming down too hard, but it was a little chilly. It was actually alot of fun. I don't really like to run with anyone but my sister. We use to go to the gym together when we lived together in Rexburg and we would mouth the words to whatever songs we were listening to and the other person would have to try to guess the song; and when I say mouth the words I'm assuming it is understood that along with the lip singing comes dancing and any other necessary gestures that will aide the other person in guessing the song. It is great fun and that is why I love running and/or working out with my little sis.

Lindsey is so amazing! I learn more and more from her every time that I am blessed to spend time with her. She brightens up my life when I am able to spend time with her. She teaches me about what is really important in life and about how to enjoy life. She is a ray of sunshine in my life. Even though she and I only had about a day and a half to spend together we were laughing about 95% of that time... it was fantastic! Laughter is medicine for the soul :) I love my sister and I look forward to seeing her again very soon. She is such a blessing in my life. I don't know how I got so lucky.

Snowboarding...Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!!

Snowboarding and being with friends makes me happy! Some people look at snow and ask 'why?' I look at snow ask 'why not?' I love the snow for the very reason that snow translates into fresh powder on the mountain. We had a blast being on the mountain, falling, and laughing together. Snowboarding brings a smile to my face and a warm feeling to my heart. Love it :)

A Trip Back in Time... to the Burg

Last weekend Heather and I drove to Rexburg to visit my beautiful and talented little sister Lindsey. I love spending time with Lindsey. Saturday afternoon Heather, Lindsey, and I were so tired that we came back to Lindsey's apartment after touring the campus and laid on the beds in her bedroom to take a nap... so we ended up laughing for almost an hour and never really taking a nap. It was so worth it! I had a blast with my little sister and her caring roommate my little cousin Sabrina. I love them :)
We also got to visit with little pregnant cousin Celeste and she is a doll. She looks so cute pregnant. When she arrived we had just finished laughing... and then the laughing began all over again. It was amazing! We love to laugh.
