Painting the Downstairs

We painted a wall RED downstairs to spice up the dull and cold space in the basement. We were a little nervous after the first coat but the cranberry red wall turned out beautifully! Most importantly my mom loves it! The downstairs feels like more of a home and now we actually want to spend time down there :)

The Oregon Coast: Nye Beach

If you look down in the sand you will notice that the image created through the shape of the pooled water and the colors reflecting from the sky it looks like a vulture.

I love how vibrant the colors of the sunset were on this particular day; too beautiful to describe in words. I love how the Lord's hand can be seen in everything around us if we will take the time to notice it.

Photography

I noticed a beautiful little spot at a corner near my family's home in Toledo where the leaves were constantly changing the pattern they created on the ground surrounding the tree from which they fell. Each time that I drove past this corner I felt a little more cheery and ambitious so I decided I would try to capture its magnificence through photography. I have always loved taking pictures ever since I was a little girl, but my attention to detail and my desire to create/capture beauty through photography has increased through my exploration and pursuit of the world of design, particularly interior design. Photography is such a work of art. I think it requires an open mind and an eye for seeing beauty in a variety of things. I have much to learn about photography, but I enjoy every opportunity I take to explore it for its endless possibilities.
