The hike was beautiful! I had so much fun hiking with this cute group of my girl friends. I can't even explain how much I love being outside and doing anything that provides me the opportunity to spend time outdoors, especially in the mountains. I love the mountains!

 My sisters mean everything to me. Just looking back at this picture makes me so grateful for my sisters. Linds and Allie I love you so very much. Thanks for always being there for me and for sharing your incredible lives with me. I can always count on you to lift me up when I am feeling discouraged. You are my forever best friends... sorry you are stuck with me, I'm so lucky! :)

 Way to go Idaho!!! Allie is living her dream and it has been so awesome for me to see her grow through this year of ball and all of the experiences that are attached to it.

That's right, get it girls! After all the excitement with basketball we wound down with some healthy dancing at a Anthony's friends' house. It was hilarious! I have some pretty funny videos but they take way too long to upload.

A Few of my Favorite Things... Quails & Snow!

 Snowy with blue skies and sunshine.... a perfectly beautiful day! I love Salt Lake.

 I love the tiny little berries on this snow-coveded little tree. They look so vibrant against the stark white snow.

 The snow-covered bushes along the front of our house in Millcreek.

 There are so many quails in this little nest it is nuts and I feel so lucky because I get to see them everyday. I think the Lord made quails just for me because seeing them makes me so very happy!

 Love, love, love quails! I can't even handle how cute they are!

 I love quails! They are so dang cute it makes my heart flutter everytime I see them running around outside.

 I love textural things. I took this picture becauseI love the cracked paint and patches of snow covering this wood post outside our house.

 This bush lines the side of our driveway and is where the quails have made a nest for themselves.

Maybe I'll Build You a Shelf or Something

 We went to Home Depot to buy some wood last night so that I could make a shelf for my bedroom. I chose a piece of oak initially but when it rang up for more than $50 I decided I would be ok with something a little less thick. That was just way too expensive!

 This is the starting product before sanding and staining...

 We sanded and stained the wood on Luke's ironing board. It was really fun! I have never made anything for my room before and it was really cool learning a new skill and being creative.

The finished product! I love the way the wood took the stain, so pretty! I can't wait to put it up in my room and make it my own.
