Camping in the Snow/Rain

Camping is one of my favorite things...even in the rain, as long as it's warm in the tent! Rain or shine we always know how to have a good time. Me, Heather, Kelsey (Heather's cousin), Justin, and Jess went camping near Mirror lake, which is up in the mountains. It was snowing/raining when we were setting up camp. We set up a tarp over the picnic table, set up the tent, and then worked on getting a fire started for over an hour. Luckily Jess and Justin were persistent and didn't give up on getting the fire started, because it was not an easy task!
We had delicious food all weekend. Heather was talking about making banana boats for days beforehand and when we finally made them on the fire they were delicious! If you have never made a banana boat you are really missing out on a quick and tasty dessert. All you do is cut out a section in the center of a banana, fill it with whatever kind of chips you so desire (chocolate, chocolate/peanut butter, butterscotch, etc.) and then put it on the fire until the chips are somewhat melted and the banana is soft. Tastes amazing! Let me also add that Heather and Kelsey know how to get warm by the fire when there isn't much of a fire and it's wet and cold outside. I recorded a video of the two of them dancing by the fire pit and it is hilarious! If I had the patience to upload it to my blog I know everyone would get a kick out of it. Just look at some of the incredible expressions that Heather and Kelsey made in the photos and you'll get a good idea of how hilarious they are. They make me laugh.
