Allie and I got dirty on July 24th! A friend of mine invited me to come to a 150 water slide in Rock Canyon Park on Pioneer Day and he said I wouldn't regret it if I came. It was a blast!!! You move so fast down the slide that you don't even have time to think about slowing down, but I'm kind of a thrill seeker anyway so I wasn't real concerned about slowing down. I love and have a need for speed! Allie and I crawled out of the mud with mustaches and go-tees, it was awesome!
We did a train down the slide with a bunch of people and somehow the train got separated about mid-way down the hill. I was near the end of the first train. We hit the mud within seconds before the second train hit. I looked back at the second group with only enough time to give the guy at the front of the train a look of horror as I knew he was headed straight for me. It was one of those moments where you can see what's coming but there is no time to do anything about it. I was pummeled into the ground so hard that I felt like my left hip was broken. Allie said she looked over at me and she couldn't see anything but the back of my head barely sticking out of the mud. My friend said he looked over and all he could see was a little bit of my red tank-top. I'm pretty sure the pummeling in the mud bath proves that if I'm hard core and if not I'm definitely on my there. I walked with a limp the rest of the day :) So fun!
sweet pics!!!!!!!!!!! looks like a blast
ReplyDeleteOkay, when I am there for Brandon's wedding, we have got to do fun things like this, I need to adventure!!!!!! Seriously looks like so much fun, I may have cried though if I got hit that hard on my hip, but that's because I'm a wuss...whatever.
ReplyDeleteIt was a total blast! Even if you cried I know you would totally get up and go back for more because you would be having so much fun! I can't wait to see you :)
ReplyDeleteThat is some serious mud, I am sure you were finding mud in creases you didn't even know that you had for days...but hey, it would be a great reminder of the awesome mud slide.
